The technical possibilities would allow Ashes of Creation to run on many platforms. However, intrepidstudios is currently focusing the PC platform development. The backend code of the Unreal Engine got replaced by intrepidstudios proprietary code. It is heavly optimized for a MMORPG - allowing hundreds of players to play at the same time, at the same place in Ashes of Creation.

Servers

Due to intrepidstudios being both, the developer and publisher of Ashes of Creation, they have the authority about hosting the game servers.
The game servers of Ashes of Creation are either self-hosted or commissioned to a third-party (depending on the region).
